Live @ Keeneland – Friday, October 21
October 21st, 2011By Jude T. Feld

4th Race) EJAY has competitive speed figures, a recent bullet workout, comes out of a route prep at Turfway Park and takes the all-important drop from Maiden Special Weight races into a maiden claimer. She should be ultra-tough today.
6th Race) Never out of the money, BRILLIANT FUTURE is on an improving pattern and boasts a quick and easy breeze over the Polytrack. She handles turf or synthetic with equal aplomb, so regardless of the course, she has a huge shot.
8th Race) SCOTUS exits the Smarty Jones Stakes at Parx Racing, a race that has seen the first three finishers come back to win Derbies. He posted two excellent works at Keeneland preparing for this race and owns an excellent third-place finish in his lone Lexington start. Jockey Manny Cruz won’t hurt his chances either.
10th Race) Sire Kitten’s Joy has been dominant at this fall meeting. LADY KITTEN represents him in the finale. She had a little trouble at the start of her last race but managed to rally and be just 3 lengths away at the finish. With the dip back into claiming company, she should be tough to beat if she gets a clear trip from the rail.
